Both of you are initially very careful about revealing feelings, motives and vulnerabilities; you are unwilling to reveal your depths to others initially. It takes time for both of you to trust and become open emotionally. Both of you have a natural suspiciousness and reserve, and both are disinclined to have casual relationships.

The difference between you is this: Capricorn has a much greater capacity for objectivity, emotional distance, and detachment than Scorpio. Capricorn can be strangely aloof at times, especially when feeling threatened, while Scorpio will seethe with emotion. Scorpio is instinctive and passionate, and gets totally immersed in, and attached to, a lover. Capricorn may or may not feel as bonded, and even if Capricorn feels as strongly as Scorpio, Capricorn may not be able to show the depth of feelings and emotional responsiveness that Scorpio desires.

This is unlikely to be a light, frothy, "fun" relationship - but then neither of you really wants that anyway.

Both of you are quiet and you often don't express all that you are feeling, but the reasons for this are quite different in each of you.

Capricorn tends to repress feelings, emotional needs, and the inner child who wants to play and to be taken care of. Practical matters, work, and responsibilities take precedence over play and pleasure, and desires which are "too childish" or "unrealistic" are downplayed. Capricorn often keeps an emotional distance and will not get emotionally involved. Frequently Capricorn seems impassive, unresponsive, or emotionally detached, and has a habit of taking life too seriously. Material security and success can become a substitute for emotional well-being and happiness.

Scorpio, on the other hand, is intensely emotional, though very private and secretive about feelings. Scorpio is deep, complex, given to silent brooding, and often harbours unspoken feelings for a long time. Resentment, guilt, and secret fears can build up to tremendous proportions if not shared and released.

Neither of you trust others very readily and you are both afraid of being vulnerable or not in control. This can prevent you from opening up completely to one another. You are both capable of great depth, fidelity, and constancy in a relationship, and neither of you is superficial emotionally. For this reason you can be harmonious together.

Both of you have very deep feelings and powerful emotional attachments to those you love and care about. Your emotional intensity is a quality that may not be fully appreciated by less passionate souls. However, the two of you understand, and are probably drawn to, this aspect of one another. You both want to be very alive and to feel everything deeply. In fact you both tend to be somewhat addicted to a certain level of extreme emotionalism, and everyday life can seem too dull without great expression of feelings.

Each of you is a natural psychologist, in the sense that you seem to tune into others' hidden emotions and motivations quite readily. You can "read" people with ease. A shared interest in psychology, and occult or esoteric wisdom, is likely.

When the two of you are together, you find it difficult to concentrate on mundane affairs. You enjoy sharing more imaginative or unusual interests, and your conversations frequently turn to artistic, psychological, religious, and metaphysical topics. You are more willing to be childish, playful and silly with each other than with others. However, you have difficulty bearing down on more serious matters and coordinating on practical affairs.

You are also fascinated with one another and you can have a very dreamy sexual and romantic interest in each other. Your erotic imagination is powerfully stimulated by one another, and you find each other mysteriously desirable, highly provocative, or seductive. You need to be quite honest with one another about what you really want and are willing to give. Capricorn especially should avoid arousing Scorpio's passionate desires, teasing or leading Scorpio on, unless you truly intend to fulfil your "promises".

Undoubtedly there is a powerful attraction between the two of you which will be hard to ignore or resist. You are deeply fascinated, even obsessed, with one another, but at the same time a feeling of aversion or repulsion will be experienced. This is so because at some level you both realise that you are playing with explosives! The energies between you are intense and could compel you to do things you wouldn't normally approve of or even thing yourselves capable of.

Sexual expression is intense, playing opposite roles enhances your fantasies and as a result you may try out many different kinds of sexual experimentation from the simplest to the farthest out. Powerful climaxes can be gained with Capricorn and Scorpio. Making love on the office desk would be enjoyable to you both.

The two of you inspire each other to become excited and even zealous about ideologies and social causes. Capricorn challenges Scorpio's theories and any memberships with organisations motivates Scorpio to strive to reform and improve these organisations. You may become active together in politics or social issues.
